Skin Tag Removal
Skin tags can go by many names. Scientists call them acrochordons, fibroepithelial polyps or cutaneous papillomas, while other layman terms include “skin tabs” or “barnacles”. Technically, skin tags are considered a type of tumor, but they are not cancerous. Skin tags are a common condition – in fact, it’s estimated that nearly half the population of the United States will have a skin tag at some point in their life. While skin tags are harmless, they may be unsightly, irritating, or catch frequently against clothing or jewelry. Our office provides several efficient, effective means of safely removing skin tags.
