Bladder incontinence is enough to make you want to hide under your bed for the rest of your life. If sneezing, walking, laughing, or running make you wet your pants, then you know just how embarrassing it can make your life. Luckily, here at Allure Skin and Laser, we have a few ways for you to deal with bladder incontinence. From Kegels to the O-shot, this article will discuss some ways that you can restore your bladder and get rid of your incontinence once and for all. Read on to learn more.
Kegels are an exercise that both men and women can do to help strengthen their bladder. The great thing about Kegel exercises is that you can do them anywhere, at any time. To figure out how to do a kegel exercise, stop urinating midstream— the muscle that you use to stop the urination flow is the same muscle you will want to contract during exercises. By contracting this muscle, the goal is to strengthen your pelvic floor which will help to stop incontinence. When doing Kegel exercises, contract the muscle and hold it for about 5-10 seconds and repeat around 30 times. Try to do this exercise multiple times throughout the day.
Exilis Elite Intima
Similar to a labiaplasty, the Exilis Elite Intima is a procedure that is designed to produce more collagen in the vagina. As a non-invasive approach, however, Exilis Elite Intima requires virtually no recovery time and can be done in our office in under an hour. By heating up the vaginal entrance, the vagina and pelvic floor will be tightened.
Another method that you can use to strengthen your pelvic floor is called the O-Shot. Designed just to treat female patients, the O-shot stimulates collagen and the production of connective tissue— both of which will help strengthen your pelvic floor and rid you of urinary incontinence in no time. To make sure you are a suitable candidate for the O-Shot. However, you will have to have some blood work done in our office and meet with one of our doctors for an initial consultation.
Peeing your pants isn’t something you want to do past the age of three. However, by doing Kegel exercises, or getting Exilis Elite Intima or the O-shot, you can help get rid of your incontinence for good. To learn more about bladder restoration, contact Allure Skin and Laser today!
