If you are currently doing one of our health and wellness programs in order to live healthier and lose weight, then this article is just for you. Or, if you are just trying to get healthier looking skin, then this article is also for you. As one of the best things that you can do for your body, drinking water isn’t just easy to do but it’s something that most of us forget about. So, before summer starts and you risk getting dehydrated while laying out in the sun by the pool, this article will go over three ways to get yourself to drink more water.
If you are the type of person who likes to have a sweet drink in the afternoon or with your dinner, then put down the alcohol and try flavoring your water instead. For instance, you can flavor it with cucumber, strawberries, fresh mint, lime, lemon, or basically any other type of fresh fruit. And, if you want to have fresh flavored water on-the-go, you can get a water bottle that has a little diffuser in it.
Get a Water Bottle You Like
If you are the type of person that likes to use a straw, then get a reusable water cup that has a straw in it. Or, if you are the type of person who only likes to drink ice water, then get an insulated water bottle that will keep your water cold. The whole point of getting a new water bottle is to get one that you will actually use everyday. Then, when you carry it around with you, you will be constantly reminded to drink out of it.
Start Your Day With Water
Rather than starting your day with a cup of coffee, consider starting your day with a cup of water instead and then reach for your coffee afterwards. The earlier that you start drinking water, the better and after a long night’s rest, your body may even feel a little bit dehydrated.
Drinking water can help you lose weight, have clearer skin, and just feel healthier overall. If you want to learn a little bit more about how you can get healthier, then contact our Elmhurst office today at 630-818-SKIN.
