3 Resolutions You Can Make For Healthier Skin

Skin Care, Elmhurt, ILIf there’s one thing to know about new years, it’s all about making resolutions that you hope you can keep, rather than choosing resolutions like giving up sugar that you know is going to end in a bag of chocolate, why not choose some resolution that you know you can stick with. Here at Allure Skin and Laser, we have created a list of a few resolutions that will help you get younger, healthier looking skin.

Wear Sunscreen

When it comes to skin protection, sunscreen is one of the best things that you can do. If you don’t already, make it your resolution to wear a sunscreen every day. Sunscreen is your skin’s natural defense against skin cancer, sun damage, and fine lines and wrinkles. When choosing a sunscreen make sure that you choose one that has ingredients in it like zinc oxide which will act as an additional defense.

Wash Your Face

Ditch the bar soap and invest in some face wash that’s designed for your skin type. Washing your face every day with a gentle facial cleanser is a great way for you to cut down on oil and acne-causing bacteria. Make it one of your resolutions to wash your face both morning and night—this will help you have a cleaner, smoother looking complexion.

After you cleanse your face both morning and night, make sure that you moisturize your skin. When choosing a moisturizer make sure that you choose one that’s designed for your skin type. For instance, if you have acne then you will want to choose a moisturizer that’s designed for more oily skin. Why? Because then it won’t cause you to break out.

For healthier, smoother skin make sure that you stick to these simple resolutions. To learn a little bit more about how you can take good care of your skin, contact us at our Elmhurst office and call us at (630) 818-SKIN(7546)
