How to Avoid Aging Skin While ON Spring Break

Aesthetic Services Elmhurst, ILSpring break is just around the corner and if you and your family are heading somewhere warm, we at Allure Skin and Laser have a few tips to help you shield your skin and keep it protected; that way, you won’t come back from vacation covered in new sun spots. In between packing bikinis and flip flops, let’s take a closer look at some other things that you should pack to protect your skin.

Broad Spectrum Sunscreen

If you are going to be laying out a lot at the beach or the pool, make sure that you pack a broad spectrum sunscreen with you. Broad spectrum sunscreens are ideal because they protect you from both UVA and UVB rays; something that regular sunscreen just can’t do. To make sure that you really get the best results from these sunscreens, make sure that you reapply it to your skin every two hours on average.

Large Rimmed Sunglasses

Wearing large rimmed sunglasses on vacation aren’t just going to make you look like a movie star, but they will protect the skin under your eyes as well. The skin under your eyes is one of the most delicate parts of the face and if it burns or is exposed to too much sun, it’s more likely to wrinkle and show premature signs of aging. When you wear large rimmed sunglasses, you can shield that part of your face from any sun damage; just make sure that you wear a broad spectrum sunscreen underneath it.

A Hat

Whether you prefer a baseball hat or a large straw hat, wearing a hat will give you skin another added layer of protection. If you really want to protect your skin from all angles, choose a large brimmed hat so that it shields your skin from the sides, the top, and straight on.
